Karthik Says…

A wonderful article on the development perspective of the Android and Apple platform.
From what I have seen till now Apple claims itself to be 5 years ahead of its competitors in terms of their exquisite software design. Android is a great platform for developers due to its lucid style of application development and the ability to launch applications at will (unlike the rigid approval process developer’s face at Apple). Both these platforms are definitely going to see dominance over Apple in the months to come. Palm would also join the race with its unique platform for of application development through internet programming. If all goes well both Android and Palm would have competitively advanced over its rival IPhone while the claim that Apple has gone far beyond its competitors would have been an exaggerated effect.

Multi Touch Flaws On Nexus One

March 4, 2010

It looks like the Droid multi touch capabilities are far better than the Nexus one. The video on you tube clearly depicts that the problem exists.

Hardware issues like this keep fragmenting the user base and developers from betting on the platform. This problem apparantly on phones like HTC G1 and myTouch which is quiet shocking.

Jolicloud is quite awesome

March 3, 2010

Just made the switch from an RC version of Windows 7 that was rebooting ever two hours to Jolicloud. It’s in pre-beta mode, but rock solid so far, and comes preinstalled with most apps and drivers, it was a pleasure to have this install and run, i dont think linux ever was made this simple, and this feature rich.

While it is made for netbooks, it’s the easiest and sweetest setup, do give it a try on your PC or netbook sometime.
